
Knox Grammar School
Mr Scott James has commenced as the eighth Headmaster of Knox Grammar School.
Prior to his appointment as Headmaster, Scott was the Deputy Headmaster and Head of Senior School at Knox, positions he held from 2009.
“I am so excited to be the eighth Headmaster of Knox Grammar School,” said Mr James. “Our School is steeped in tradition, embraces excellence and is recognised by the wider community as producing young people who make a positive and profound impact on society.”
Scott has 25 years’ experience as an educator and has led the implementation of Knox’s Positive Education program, Knox Total Fitness. He is passionate about how mental fitness and a growth mind-set can empower young people.
Scott has a demonstrated commitment to academic excellence with the capacity to lead high-performing teams. He has contributed to strategic planning and curriculum development, allowing him to establish an outstanding professional track record.
“Education is going through rapid change and to be part of that change is extremely exciting,” he said.
“Our surveys have consistently shown that excellence in teaching is the number one reason why families choose Knox. One of my key focuses as Headmaster will be to continue to support our teachers to improve and enhance their teaching practice,” said Mr James.
“I feel very fortunate to be part of this community and I’m reminded of this each and every day,” said Mr James.
