In this interview, you can learn about their formative experiences, their goals for Prep and their intended legacies.
Andrew: I always looked up to the older boys, but I was too shy to talk to them. It wasn't until Year 3 when I summoned up the courage to do so. I don't want anyone else to feel that way, because we are quite approachable.
Aadhi: A thing about Knox that I really like is the number of opportunities given to us for us to thrive, to really find our passions, and to shape who we are. Becoming the School Vice-Captain is a way of me giving back for all that Knox has done and all the opportunities given to me.
Andrew: My mission for Knox Prep for this year is to let everyone know that Knox is a safe place, and that everyone in this safe place has a voice. The students can express their opinions, their opinions are valued, and they can do good with this voice.
Aadhi: One mission I have for this year is to encourage all the other boys to just be themselves. And enjoy all the opportunities that Knox gives you. I really like how diverse it is, and how Knox welcomes all to the school.
Andrew: My envisioned legacy for Knox Prep is for students to aim high. Always try your best and try to improve, because when you do, you may find a hidden skillset or hobby. So, take your chances with something new. Never stop growing.
Aadhi: The legacy I would like to leave behind was something that started from when I was in Year 1 or Year 2. A former Head of Prep, Ms Floro, said that we should have a go, and that was our informal school motto – to live life out of your comfort zone. That really stuck with me through all my years, leading up to Year 6. What I want to do as School Vice-Captain is to encourage and carry on that legacy for years to come.
Andrew: Shoot for the moon. Even if you miss, you’ll land amongst the stars.
Aadhi: Have a go; take everything that comes to you. In the journey, from Kindergarten all the way to Year 12, you can reflect on all the memories you've made and all the friendships you've created, and you can leave Knox with no regrets. You can overcome anything in the world.

“Visual Arts deepens our understanding of ourselves, our communities, and the world around us,” says Wendy Shearer (Visual Arts Teacher and Head of Department, Senior School). “Through creative practice, students explore ideas, communicate experiences, and develop personal ways of seeing and interpreting the world. Art becomes both a form of expression and a means of connecting across time, place, and culture.
