History made! 19 records broken at CAS Swimming and Diving Championships

Congratulations to the following students who made CAS history, breaking both individual and relay team records:

INDIVIDUAL

• Lukas Dunn, 16 years, broke the record in division 50m freestyle, championship 50m butterfly, and championship 100m freestyle
• Ethan Haegebaert, 16 years, broke the record in championship 50m freestyle and championship 50m backstroke
• Jack Mitchell, 17 years, broke the record in championship 50m and 100m butterfly
• Lucas Johnston, 17 years, broke the record in open 200m freestyle – Senior Championship
• Liam Togher, 16 years, broke the record in 50 freestyle MC, 50m butterfly MC, 50m backstroke MC, 50m breaststroke MC
• Daniel Rigby, Open, broke the record in 50m freestyle MC, 50m butterfly MC, 50m backstroke MC

TEAM

• Ethan Haegebaert, Eason Ma, Lukas Dunn, and Oliver Wall, 16 years, broke the record in 200m medley relay team
• Jasper Zhou, Max Moore, Jeremy Zhou, and Hudson Hegarty, 15 years, broke the record in 200m freestyle relay team
• Ethan Haegebaert, Lukas Dunn, Dylan Zhou, and Oliver Wall, 16 years, broke the record in 200m freestyle relay team
• Tristen Waugh, Aidan Bruce, Lucas Johnston, and Joseph Kim, 17 years, broke the record in 200m freestyle relay team

In swimming, Knox finished first with a score of 569 points, while in Diving, the Knox team finished second overall on 41 points, just three points behind Trinity Grammar School.

These achievements are a remarkable accomplishment for our hard-working swim and dive teams, as well as our dedicated coaches and support crew.
