Last Friday marked a proud milestone for the Knox Ravenswood Army Cadet Unit, as we formally inducted our 2025–26 leadership team during the annual Cadet Under Officer (CUO) Induction Parade.
Knox Grammar School
The ceremony commenced with outgoing RSM Mani calling the parade to order, before handing over command to our incoming Senior Under Officer (SUO), Sophia. SUO Sophia was invested with her rank by Knox Headmaster Mr James and Ravenswood Acting Principal Ms Guy, symbolising the beginning of her leadership journey.
Under SUO Sophia’s command, each newly appointed CUO was formally inducted, with senior school leaders from both Knox and Ravenswood School for Girls presenting rank slides in turn. The parade concluded with the induction of our incoming RSM, Angus (Year 10), by SUO Sophia.
This ceremonial event not only celebrates the promotion of our cadet leaders but also marks the beginning of their leadership in action. From their first steps on the July promotion course to standing tall on parade, their growth has been remarkable. Their presentation and turnout were exemplary, a true reflection of the commitment and pride they bring to our unit.
We thank the families and school leaders who joined us to support our cadets on this special occasion.

“Visual Arts deepens our understanding of ourselves, our communities, and the world around us,” says Wendy Shearer (Visual Arts Teacher and Head of Department, Senior School). “Through creative practice, students explore ideas, communicate experiences, and develop personal ways of seeing and interpreting the world. Art becomes both a form of expression and a means of connecting across time, place, and culture.
